Born and raised in southern Tennessee, Katie moved to New York to pursue a career as an actress. Coming from a long line of great southern cooks and hostesses, she carried the tradition with her when she settled in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Inspired by suggestions and encouragement from her friends and her love of having company, she and her husband conceived of Cookin' in the Burg with Katie Kelly and Company.
The show offers irreverent insight on some of the great talent in the area while simultaneously providing dinner party ideas and recipes.
